When my father was a little boy the readers in the schools were very different than they are now. The stories and poems were mostly chosen because they taught something worthwhile. Maybe it was history or geography, but most often it was Character Building lessons. We plan to have some of these here so you can enjoy them. Most of them are read by readers from Librivox.org.
